A bus on a terrace... curious.
That was the first thing we thought of when we came across this commission. Bombay Sapphire gin from the Bacardi company asked us to implement their brand on the new terrace that the well-known Mae West nightclub in Granada was going to open this autumn.
When we went to see the space, we found this old American school bus in the middle of the terrace, so we decided that would be our focus for the implementation.
An element was designed that could stand out in the spectacular decoration that the property had planned so brightly lit and full of ethnic motifs, so we considered an element that would completely cut through and stand out from the rest.
We set up a completely white element, illuminated in Bombay blue all around the perimeter and bar, with a structure inside with drawers with white backlighting for the bottle rack with the Bombay brand in vinyl, a complete line of illuminated Bombay bottles all around the inside of the back of the bar, two folding windows to provide bar service, and an LED lighting system for the inside of the bus where the colour of the well-known premium gin always stands out.
For the exterior we implemented the brand by means of cut and printed vinyl placed at prominent points on the bus.
A complete implementation, in a peculiar space, on a wonderful rooftop terrace of a building in the heart of Granada. A Gin and Tonic?
