The Oceanograf ship from the University of Gandansk visited the waters of Cadiz for the first time last May to publicise the Ocean Research Campaign that is being carried out by different universities in Europe, including the University of Cadiz, through the SEA EU Alliance (European Universities of the Seas).
With the arrival of the Oceanograf ship, the UCA organised an exhibition in the Passenger Terminal of the Muelle Ciudad, where they showed and explained to anyone who wanted to see it, the plastic pollution in the oceans, as well as the extensive research work that the Oceanograf ship is carrying out in the oceans.
What did we do?
Given our extensive experience of working in the Muelle Ciudad, and working together with the SEA EU organisation, we were able to adapt the space to the needs of the exhibition, giving it a completely different perspective to the terminal, but respecting the space.
One of the most important points in the management of a project of these characteristics was sustainability. We made and assembled "ad hoc" in wood, a structure of corridors, which could be reusable in other projects, where we provided visitors with a simple route to follow to get to the boat, while they could see the different exhibition posters. We supported the event with a group of English-speaking hostesses, to be able to attend to the foreign public if necessary, as well as with common interests to the exhibition, to ensure personal involvement in the work and offer quality support.
