After last year's great challenge, Red Bull once again called on us to form the Paddock and Grid Girls team for the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix and design their uniforms.
This year we continued with the idea of a very Andalusian dress code inspired by flamenco art. Our aim was to implement the brand in this type of costume while preserving its essence. We presented Red Bull with several proposals and they finally opted for the choice shown here.
We designed a set composed of two pieces: a blue silk crepe shawl, tied at the waist, with elegant white polka dots and silk fringes joined by a very carefully chosen interlining, and a body, also blue, in elastic twill, with an asymmetrical one-shoulder cut and double flounce, where we implemented the identity by means of embroidery.
To complete the look, some red flamenco dance shoes and in her hair, a double red carnation with a white comb. We also had the idea of making some yellow earrings that reminded us of the sun of the bull brand. And of course, the fan was a must.
We were in charge of the initial idea, the design and the choice of all the fabrics, the accessories and the material used to make it, delegating this last part to the sewing workshop of Davinia García, from Benalup-Casas Viejas who, under our supervision, did an excellent job following at all times the manufacturing guidelines of the costume that we set her and reflecting very faithfully our idea.
We managed to create an elegant, attractive, comfortable and daring wardrobe concept, just take a look at the photos below!
